Spaceships - Part 1
Types of Spacecraft - Part 1
Spacecraft come in various shapes and sizes, each designed for specific purposes and missions. In this article, we will explore some of the most common types of spacecraft used in space exploration and scientific research.
Rocket
A rocket is a type of spacecraft that propels itself through space by expelling exhaust gas produced by onboard engines. Rockets are used to launch satellites, crewed spacecraft, and probes into space. They come in different sizes and configurations depending on the mission requirements.

Satellite
Satellites are spacecraft that orbit the Earth or other celestial bodies. They can be used for communication, weather monitoring, navigation, and scientific research. Satellites can be either artificial (man-made) or natural (moons).

Space Probe
A space probe is an unmanned spacecraft designed to explore space and gather data about distant planets, asteroids, comets, and other celestial bodies. Probes are equipped with scientific instruments to study the environment and composition of these objects.

Space Shuttle
The space shuttle is a reusable spacecraft used by NASA for human spaceflight missions. It consists of an orbiter, solid rocket boosters, and an external fuel tank. Space shuttles were crucial for transporting astronauts and cargo to and from space stations like the International Space Station (ISS).
